They apply to any user of the Service, whether a mere visitor or an account holder. Acceptance of the Terms is a prerequisite to using the Service.
3. Definitions
- “Service”: the CINAF.TV platform (website and apps).
- “User”: any person accessing the Service.
- “Account”: the personal space created upon registration.
- “Subscription” (SVOD): unlimited access to the catalogue for a recurring payment.
- “Rental” (TVOD): temporary access to a single piece of content for a one-off payment.
- “Content”: the movies, series, trailers and other audiovisual works offered.
4. Account, registration and minimum age
Creating an account requires accurate, up-to-date information. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity carried out from your account.
The Service is reserved for persons with the legal capacity to contract. It is not intended for children under 13; minors may only use it under the responsibility of a holder of parental authority.
An account may include several profiles for the holder's household. Sharing credentials outside the household is prohibited.
5. Description of the Service
CINAF.TV is a streaming platform dedicated to African cinema, offering subscription access (SVOD) and per-title rental (TVOD).
The catalogue changes over time: the availability of a piece of content may vary depending on distribution rights and your geographic area. Some content may be unavailable in certain countries.
Playback quality depends on your connection, your device and factors beyond our control. Constant, uninterrupted streaming quality is not guaranteed.
6. Subscriptions, prices and payment
Prices
Prices are shown inclusive of all taxes (applicable VAT included), in the displayed currency, before you confirm the order.
Payment methods
Payment is made through our secure providers, depending on the methods available in your country:
- Bank card (via Stripe)
- PayPal
- Mobile money (via MonetBil)
- Apple Pay / Google Pay
- In-app purchases via the stores (App Store / Google Play)
Subscription and automatic renewal
The subscription is entered into for the chosen period and renews automatically at the end of each term, at the applicable rate, until cancelled.
The amount is charged at the start of each period. You can turn off renewal at any time from your settings; access remains active until the end of the period already paid for.
Rental (TVOD)
A rental grants access to a piece of content for a defined period, shown before purchase. It does not renew automatically.
7. Right of withdrawal
In accordance with the Belgian Code of Economic Law (Article VI.47), consumers are in principle entitled to a fourteen (14) day period to withdraw from a distance purchase.
However, the Service consists in the supply of digital content not delivered on a tangible medium. In accordance with Article VI.53, 13° of the Code of Economic Law, the right of withdrawal does not apply once performance has begun with your prior express consent and your acknowledgement that you thereby lose that right.
By starting playback of any content (subscription or rental) before the end of the fourteen-day period, you expressly request immediate performance of the Service and acknowledge that you waive your right of withdrawal for the content concerned.
8. Termination
By the user
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period; no pro-rata refund is due for the period already started, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
By the publisher
We may suspend or terminate your account in the event of a breach of these Terms, fraudulent use or infringement of third-party rights, where applicable after notice that has remained without effect.
9. Intellectual property and licence of use
All content and elements of the Service are protected by intellectual property law and remain the property of their respective holders (producers, rights holders, publisher).
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to access the Service and view the content, strictly within the private setting of your household.
The following are prohibited:
- Unauthorized downloading, copying or recording of content
- Circumventing or neutralizing technical protection measures (DRM)
- Rebroadcasting, communicating to the public or reselling content
- Sharing credentials outside the household
- Any use for commercial purposes
10. User obligations
You undertake to use the Service in accordance with applicable laws and these Terms. The following are prohibited in particular:
- Harming the security or integrity of the Service
- Using unauthorized bots, scripts or automated means
- Impersonating a third party
- Providing inaccurate information or failing to keep it up to date
11. Protection of personal data
The processing of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes the data collected, its purposes, the legal bases and your rights under the GDPR.
The competent supervisory authority is the Data Protection Authority (APD/GBA), Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels.
13. Availability and maintenance
We strive to keep the Service available on an ongoing basis, without however guaranteeing uninterrupted access. The Service may be suspended for maintenance, updates, or for technical reasons or force majeure.
14. Legal guarantee of conformity
In accordance with the rules applicable to the supply of digital content and services (Directive (EU) 2019/770, as transposed into Belgian law), we are required to provide a Service that conforms to the contract.
In the event of a lack of conformity, you have the rights provided by law, including bringing the Service into conformity and, where applicable, a price reduction or termination of the contract.
15. Liability
We cannot be held liable for damage resulting from misuse of the Service, a fault in your equipment or connection, or an event of force majeure.
These clauses do not limit our liability in the event of fraud, gross negligence, harm to life or physical integrity, or in cases where the law prohibits it. The consumer's mandatory rights remain reserved.
16. Changes to the Terms
We may amend these Terms to reflect legal, technical or commercial changes to the Service. The applicable version is the one in force at the time of use.
In the event of a substantial change, we will inform you by an appropriate means (email or notification). Continued use after the change takes effect constitutes acceptance; otherwise, you may terminate.
17. Customer service, complaints and mediation

18. Governing law and jurisdiction

Any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of the Belgian courts, without prejudice to the mandatory provisions protecting consumers, who retain the benefit of the public-policy rules of their country of habitual residence (Article 6 of the Rome I Regulation).
19. Miscellaneous
- Force majeure: neither party is liable for a failure caused by an event of force majeure.
- Partial invalidity: if any clause is held invalid, the remaining clauses continue to apply.
- Entire agreement: these Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the publisher.
